The following example is from our application "MyAddress & Contact Data !":

File:  addrbook.tps

The data in file: addrbook.tps is often used to create stunning address labels with TICKET 2000.

How is it done - step-by-step:

- Close all open files
- Open the Database scanner TOPSCAN from the File menu
- Open file:  addrbook.tps
- Select EXPORT from the FILE Menu
- Tick character as DELIMITER - a comma appears then on the right
- Save the file as:  addrbook.txt  in the box right of Export File
  ( preferably in folder: c:\tbsc\odbc\odbcfiles )

If you don't have MS-ACCESS you need to create a so-called ".mdb" database first - something like:

address.mdb

then you ATTACH the table:  addrbook.txt   to this database (Yes - now it is called a "table").

To do this we recommend to download a tool called QUERYer from:

 www.chiselsoftware.com    in Australia  (a great shareware query tool)

After installation you OPEN your database:  address.mdb  or create a NEW one (from the QUERYer FILE Menu) with this or a similar name and store it in:

c:\tbsc\odbc\odbcfiles.

Then go to the EDIT menu and  ATTACH  the table:  addrbook.txt

Double-click on the attached file and you see all records and fields in this table (keep in mind what we were saying about exporting, ODBC and the "date" fields before in the other items on our web site.

CLOSE QUERYer !

OPEN  TICKET  2000

and start with the design process by creating your labels.

To insert selected fields from your data base go to OBJECTS, drag the TEXT Object onto your label, right-click the object, select "Properties", then DATABASE from the "Active Data Source" List, select on the right under: File Name

 c:\tbsc\odbc\odbcfiles\address.mdb
 
Click OPEN TABLE and select: addrbook.txt

You then allocate the fields you want from the SHOW DATA FIELD window and continue with your design.
 

Whatever the type of Label it is you want to create from your data stored with "MyAddress & Contact Data!" - even address labels with photo, map and pictures; everything is possible with TICKET 2000. We know this because we have tested the software regarding these aspects.
